Senior Corner
Dear Class of 2026 and Parents/Guardians,
It is hard to believe the Encinal High School Graduation is just around the corner, where does the time go? I want to send this correspondence to communicate upcoming events and expectations. This year the Encinal High School Graduation Ceremony will be conducted on Friday, June 5th, 2026, at Encinal High School new football/Soccer Complex. The ceremony will start promptly at 3:30pm and the gates will be open for those who only have tickets at 1:30pm.
Graduation is a once in a lifetime experience where we celebrate the transition of our students from adolescence to adulthood. Further, it is a testament to all of the time and effort that they have put into the past 13 years of school. As such, it is our wish to provide a distinguished and memorable ceremony – one that will be remembered with dignity and pride by our students, their families and our community.
We are asking for your support in joining us in modeling the behavior that is respectable, admirable, and conducive to this momentous occasion. Each of our graduates and their families deserve to experience a graduation that allows every speaker to be heard, every audience member to witness the proceedings without interference, and most importantly, to hear their graduates name announced when receiving their high school diploma.
-IMPORTANT REMINDERS-
NO BALLOONS ARE ALLOWED IN THE GRADUATION CEREMONY. THIS ALSO INCLUDES SIGNS, UMBRELLAS, AND ANY OTHER ITEMS THAT MAY OBSTRUCT A VIEW
(You will be turned away at the entrance if you have balloons or other obstructions)
AND
AIR HORNS ARE NOT ALLOWED INTO THE GRADUATION CEREMONY
(If an air horn is used during the ceremony Security will immediately escort you off the premises)
AND
No Drones or dogs are allowed in the ceremony as well.
Safety
To ensure the safety of all people participating in and attending the graduation ceremony, we are asking that you remain seated throughout the ceremony. DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES ENTER THE AREA DESIGNATED FOR THE GRADUATES, SPECIAL GUESTS, AND STAFF. At the conclusion of the ceremony, the 2026 graduates will march off the field to the Junior Jet Quad to pick up their official diplomas. After retrieving their diplomas students will return to the blacktop to meet up with family and friends.
Parking
There will be two entrances open for graduation, which is the 3rd Street Gate and the Boat Ramp. Parking is limited to our front parking lot, the Boat Ramp, and parking in the neighborhood.
Tickets
Each senior will receive five tickets for entrance into the Encinal Stadium. Tickets will be distributed to students on Monday, June 1st in front of the Banking Office window during lunch. NO other tickets will be allocated to families.
Fines/Fees/Overdue Books
Students owing any debts need to pay them before they receive tickets. See Hoffert in the Banking Office, or call 748-4023 X 23758
Graduation Rehearsal
Graduates must have returned Senior Clearance forms by Monday, June 1st, 2026, in order to receive their official high school diploma. The graduation rehearsal will be conducted on Thursday, June 4th from 8:30am-10:30am at Encinal. It is mandatory for ALL students participating in commencement to attend rehearsal. Please be on time and plan on a 60 - 90-minute rehearsal or until it is done correctly. After rehearsal Seniors will move to the front Quad, for Senior Breakfast/Brunch and our post-graduation raffle. Additionally, Seniors will also meet and celebrate with the Class of 1976.
Mandatory Dress Code for Graduation – Cap & Gown
A cap and gown are mandatory for participation in commencement. (We are strongly discouraged from wearing heels on the football field!!!)
Finals for seniors will be conducted between May 27th – June 3rd , based on each teacher’s desire. Students must have an excellent attendance rate, have no discipline issues, and be academically eligible to participate in ANY and All remaining Senior activities including commencement ceremonies.
