A-G Requirements for UC and CSU
These are the Minimum Requirements for UC or CSU Admittance:
English
Four years of English:
- Earning a C or better each semester
Math
Three years of Math:
- Earning a C or better each semester
- Courses: Algebra 1, Algebra 2, and Geometry
- Four years strongly recommended
Lab Science
Two years of Science:
- Earning a C or better each semester
- Courses: Biology, Chemistry, or Physics
Foreign Language
Two years of a Foreign Language:
- Earning a C or better each semester
Visual and Performing Arts
One yearlong Visual and Performing Arts course:
- Earning a C or better each semester
Social Science
Two years of Social Sciences:
- Earning a C or better each semester
- Courses: History and Government/Economics
College Prep Elective
One year of an Elective:
- Earning a C or better each semester
- Courses: MW History, an additional year of a foreign language, science, or math
