Grad Night

Grad Night June 9 - This event is put on and planned by the parentsTHIS IS NOT A SCHOOL SPONSORED EVENT. As a class, we are unable to use any ASB funds allocated already to the Class of 2023, so this is where we need mass parent involvement.*

*We need parent involvement, chaperoning, setting up, etc., for these events to continue to move forward. It is extremely hard to put on events without parent involvement and puts our events, that we spent countless hours planning, at risk.

Grad Nite is an event that is not planned by the Senior Class Leadership as this task has fallen to the parents in past years. Grad Nite was created to allow students to have a safe and fun time after graduation. This was first created by Moms Against Drunk Driving as there were many instances where students had lost their lives due to drunk driving on graduation night.

Below, is information that was discussed during the meeting regarding Grad Night:

  • To determine how much money is needed for a down payment for the buses as well as to secure the venue which is Boomers (Buses are roughly $6,000)
  • When are we at risk for losing access to a bus? When do we have to pay?
  • Buses will be coming to Encinal at 9:00 pm and students will be at Boomers from 10:00 pm-2:00 am and will be back at 3:00 am
  • To create a timeline and set goals of how much money we need and by what specific date
  • To have another way of communicating to parents as Parent Square sends too many emails at a time and is not purely centered around the Senior Class
  • Fundraising Ideas
    • Sees Candy Online
    • 20 For 20 Campaign (Service for money)
    • 21 and over event (5pm-12am adults can come in and out)
    • Wine and Waffles (Alison)
