Middle School Athletics
DUE TO COVID-19, WE DO NOT YET KNOW WHEN THE MIDDLE SCHOOL SPORTS PROGRAM WILL BEGIN. PLEASE CHECK THE ALAMEDA EDUCATION FOUNDATION WEBSITE FOR UPDATES.
We have three amazing middle-school sports seasons each year - Volleyball (coed) in the Fall, Basketball (separate boys’ and girls’) in the Winter, and Track and Field (coed) in Spring.
Not only do student-athletes learn important life skills related to teamwork, goal-setting, and sportsmanship, but our program includes academic tie-in to help student-athletes learn to be just as successful in the classroom as on the court or field. And it’s fun.
Previous experience isn’t an absolute requirement for any of our sports - although due to limits on roster size, volleyball and basketball teams are selected competitively.
Our sports are staggered so that a student can participate in all of them. We hope that your student will consider more than one sport in our year - for the great team environment, for the conditioning and discipline, and as a way to further get to know their fellow athletes.
All student-athletes must have and maintain a 2.0 or better GPA, and have an attendance record in good standing.
