Concurrent Enrollment Pathway - Bio Tech
We currently offer one, two-year concurrent enrollment pathway for students interested in Biotechnology (This pathway replaces our Genomics Pathway). Students enrolled will attend classes concurrently at Encinal, and Laney College (taught on the Alameda High School campus).
Each year a new cohort of approximately 14-16 rising Juniors will be selected. They will take classes in Chemistry, Physiology, Anthropology, and Biotechnology. Students will earn both high school and college credits for all college classes and high school credit for physiology.
Interested students should heed announcements about informational meetings as well as application and interview deadlines. For more information, please contact Dr. Pauline Stahl. Courses in the program are listed below; each course earns the student 10 credits.
